This is a test and tune, skill enhancement day. It is NOT a race day. Rider's have a lot of freedom at our events. However, with freedom also comes responsibility. Everyone attending our events is expected to ride smart and exercise good judgement while on the track. If you are riding at 100% of your abilities, you are probably going to crash or cause someone else to crash.
Step 1 - When you arrive at the track, you'll need to sign the track's
insurance liability release form, there will be an attendant at the gate who
will have the form for you to sign.
Step 2 - Find a spot to park your rig. Duh!
Step 3 - Bring your TWO forms, (Registration Form and Rider
Self-Tech Form) to the TrackAddix/Ducati Omaha pit area where there will be a
Registration table set up. NOTE: This means
that the registration table will NO LONGER be in the admin building, it will
be AT THE TRACKADDIX PIT AREA!!
Hand over your forms, we'll verify them, and then give you your helmet sticker
and bike sticker for the day.
Step 4 - Affix the helmet sticker to the LEFT side of your helmet where it
will be clearly visible to the pit-out marshalls.
Step 5 - Affix the bike sticker to the FRONT of your fairing or windscreen.
Step 6 - Attend the Rider's Meeting at the announced time
Step 7 - Keep it on two wheels and a puck!

TrackAddix operates using a Self-Tech procedure where you take responsibility for making sure you and your motorcycle are ready to ride on the track. For Novice riders, we will help you with this process by reviewing the self-tech procedure with you at the track and do a quick inspection on your bike so you can become proficient at checking it yourself as you gain more experience. We're always available to help you check out anything on your bike you may have a question about, just ask. Please read our Tech Requirements.
After the rider's meeting there will be 2 orientation laps on the track. They are mandatory if it is your first time riding at that facility, and optional for those already familiar with the track. During these laps you will be shown the track layout as well as the entry and exit locations.
It is imperative that you look far up the track to ensure that no riders are coming before you enter the track. DO NOT proceed directly to the racing line until well beyond the entry zone and at the proper speed to blend into the traffic.
When exiting the track, it is critical that you signal the riders behind you as early as possible. Get a hand high into the air and then move slowly from the racing line. Suddenly throwing a hand up and exiting at the last second creates a very dangerous situation! There may be another rider behind you that was setting up to make a pass and your sudden move could cause a collision. Also, once you have signaled that you plan to exit the track, there is NO changing your mind. If you decide to do a few more laps, complete your exit and then proceed to the entrance to re-enter the track.
| GREEN - The track is open! | |
| RED - The track is closed, most likely due to a crash or some other hazard that needs to be cleaned up. Put your arm in the air when you see this flag and slow your pace to a safe "cruising" speed. Leave the track when you reach the EXIT point. | |
| CHECKERED - End of the session, continue your lap and leave the track when you reach the EXIT point. | |
| YELLOW - This flag could be waving or steady. In either case, slow your pace slightly and be extra vigilant for a possible trouble spot. The track will remain open but there is some kind of hazard that could cause a problem. Passing is NOT allowed within the zone where this WAVING yellow flag is displayed! | |
| BLACK flag - This flag will be pointed directly at you and means that there is something seriously wrong with your bike. Raise your arm and move off the racing line in case you are leaking fluids. DO NOT continue to the track exit point. Immediately leave the track surface when you reach a non-runoff area and either make it to the next corner-worker station or wait for us to come and pick you up if you can't make it to a corner station. | |
| MEATBALL flag - This flag will be pointed directly at you and means that we need to talk to you for some reason. Continue your lap, leave the track when you reach the EXIT point, and proceed to the TrackAddix pit area for instructions. | |
| AMBULANCE flag - Someone has crashed and is injured. This flag will be accompanied by a RED flag. The ambulance is on the track and heading for the crash site. Put your arm in the air when you see this flag and slow your pace considerably. Leave the track when you reach the EXIT point. |
A safe, clean, and courteous pass is the rule here.
Open Sessions: We do not restrict passing in our Open sessions. We ask that you be courteous of your fellow riders when
passing. It is the faster rider's primary responsibility to
make a safe, clean, and courteous pass on the rider he is overtaking.
It is the slower rider's secondary responsibility to hold their
line and not do anything weird or make any sudden moves when
being overtaken. You will get plenty of track time throughout
the day so there is no need to stuff someone in a corner or
make a risky pass that might jeopardize the safety of the other
rider. Remember, just because you are comfortable MAKING a pass doesn't
mean the rider you are passing is comfortable BEING passed, please keep that in
mind and show courtesy to your fellow riders. The faster your are than the
rider you are passing, the more room you should give when making the pass.
Novice Sessions: In our Novice sessions, we ask that you refrain from inside
passing on corner entry and mid-corner, as those are more advanced passes and
the rider you are passing may not be confident enough to deal with another bike
being inside them in the corner. If you find yourself being tempted
to make inside passes in the Novice session, it may be time to move up to the
Open session.
Testing the abrasion resistance of your leathers is not a recommended activity as it will increase the cost of your track day exponentially! Again, this is NOT a race day!!! If you are riding at 100% of your ability, you are putting yourself and other riders at risk for no reason. If you crash it hurts everyone. At best, the track will have to be closed for a short period of time to recover you and your wreck. At worst, you could sustain serious injury, cause someone else to sustain serious injury, and/or destroy your bike.
Should you have the misfortune of crashing, we will do our best to recover you and your bike as quickly as possible. If you are injured, we will get medical help to you immediately.
STUNT RIDING, WHEELIES, STOPPIES, BURNOUTS, ETC
This is not the place! If you are looking to "win friends and influence enemies" with your stunt riding abilities, or ride in an otherwise "Squidly" manner, please do it elsewhere.
Stunt riding of any kind, on the track, in the paddock, or anywhere else at the track facility will not be tolerated. If you are intentionally riding sustained wheelies, or intentionally raising the rear wheel off the ground in a sustained stoppie, or doing burnouts you will be ejected from the event and you will NOT receive a refund of any portion of your fee.
New Track Riders:
Our "School of Speed" is one of, if not THE, best new rider training programs
available in the country. We will take you from knowing basically
nothing about how to ride on the track, to being prepared for a lifetime of
track day enjoyment all in the course of one intense and action-packed day.
We guarantee this will be the most fun you've ever had on 2 wheels!
Experienced Track Riders:
Professional riding instruction is available from the staff of TrackAddix
Rider Coaches, sign up for a coaching session at any of our events. We
do not force riding instruction on you if you don't want it. If you do
want some help, we're happy to assist you in getting to the next level in your
track riding and we'll do whatever we can to help you achieve your goals.
We also have the TrackAddix Riding Academy Advanced Rider Clinics available
for more advanced formal instruction.
Whether your pets are your kids, or your kids are your pets, our events are NOT a playground for them. There is much activity and the environment can be hazardous for them. Both, children and pets must be kept under your direct supervision at all times. Pets must be kept on a leash and you must pick up and properly dispose of their droppings.
Pit bikes, scooters, bicycles, etc are for getting from place to place quickly around the paddock and racing facility. They are not to be used to "goof" around on, have pit bike races around the paddock, or occupy your children while you're out on the track. There's no more embarrassing crash at a track day than crashing a pit bike, don't be "that guy"!
- As far as illicit or illegal drugs go, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!!
- As far as alcohol is concerned, it is STRICTLY prohibited while the track is operating, including spectators!
- If we even think you are impaired by any of these substances during a track day you will be asked to leave.
- If you want to enjoy an adult beverage while relaxing in the pits after the event has concluded, you're welcome to do so if allowed withing the rules of the facility and local laws.
